'Let us reaffirm our commitment to building a continent of prosperity'- Mahama to African leaders

President John Mahama has called for unity among African leaders. He urged civil society organizations, youth groups, and the diaspora to join this effort. Together, they can build a continent of prosperity, justice, and equality.

In his Africa Day 2025 message on Facebook, Mahama stated, “Let us reaffirm our commitment to building a continent of prosperity.” He acknowledged that this task is not easy. It requires courage, determination, and a united front.

Mahama emphasized the need for meaningful dialogue with those in power. He encouraged collaboration across all sectors of society. “I call upon my colleagues — African leaders and civil society organizations — to join hands,” he said.

He shared a hopeful vision for the future. This future includes justice and healing past wounds. It aims to realize the full potential of every African and person of African descent.

“Let us work together to build a future where justice prevails,” Mahama urged. He wants Africa Day 2025 to be seen as a pivotal moment for change.

“Let Africa Day 2025 be a turning point,” he declared. He reiterated the importance of commitment to prosperity and equality for all people.

Mahama concluded with a rallying call about reparations. He believes it symbolizes Africa’s resilience and hope for the future. “Let the pursuit of reparations be a testament to our unwavering belief in a brighter future,” he said.
