'Only injury will stop me from being a part of the national team' - Antoine Semenyo

Black Stars forward Antoine Semenyo feels honored to represent Ghana.

He believes it is a privilege to play for the national team. The only reason he would decline an invitation is injury.

Semenyo scored during the recent international break. He netted a goal in Ghana's 5-0 win over Chad. This match was part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers at Accra Sports Stadium.

The Bournemouth player has made 27 appearances for the Black Stars. He appreciates every opportunity and does not take it for granted.

"It's an honor; I always want to be part of the national team," he told SuperSport. "Injury is the only thing that could stop me, but I try to be available."

Playing for his country has been a lifelong dream for him. Each call-up feels like an honor.

After scoring his third goal for Ghana, Semenyo aims to continue his success with Bournemouth. The club will face Manchester City in the FA Cup this weekend.
