Asante Kotoko's interim coach, Karim Zito, remains hopeful for the title.
There are six games left in the season. The Porcupine Warriors currently sit fourth in the league. They have not won in their last four matches. They are now six points behind the top spot.
This poor performance led to Prosper Narteh Ogum's dismissal. Zito has been tasked with winning the Premier League.
"Six matches and 18 points can change a lot," Zito said at his unveiling. "It's not over until it's over." He knows they will face tough opponents but is determined to fight until the end.
Zito's first match will be against Aduana FC at home. This game will take place at Baba Yara Stadium.
The experienced coach recently led Dreams FC to a historic CAF Confederation Cup semi-final. He also guided Ghana’s U-20 team to victory in the 2021 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
