A total of 1,242 students graduated from the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC) in Accra yesterday.
The graduating cohort included 1,027 from the Institute of Journalism, 142 from the Institute of Languages, and 73 from the Institute of Film & Television.
Annan Kezia Naa Kordei won the Best Graduating Student in Print Journalism Award, while Nyigmabo Samuel received both the Best Graduating Student in Broadcast Journalism and the Best Graduating Student in Journalism (Regular Programme) Awards.
Other notable awardees included Affram Carlene Abena Ameyaa (Best in Public Relations) and Anderson Perry Kwaku (Best in Marketing).
Guest speaker Kwami Sefa Kayi emphasized adaptability in the evolving media landscape, while Prof. Eric Opoku Mensah highlighted the university’s commitment to gender representation and integrating AI into the curriculum.
