National Security operatives have arrested 12 Chinese nationals and one Ghanaian in connection with the missing Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) containers at Tema Port.
The suspects, linked to two aluminum smelting companies in Shai Hills, were apprehended during an intelligence-led operation on Thursday.
Cables believed to be part of the stolen consignment were traced to a Chinese-owned smelting facility near the Shai Hills Game Reserve, where they were reportedly being melted into aluminum bars for export.
Meanwhile, authorities have launched a manhunt for another Chinese national who remains at large as investigations continue.
