2022 Winner of Citi FM’s Literacy Challenge represents Ghana at 2025 World Robofest

Samuel Kwaku Gyamfi Gariba will represent Ghana at the 2025 World Robofest Championship. This event will take place in Michigan, USA.

Samuel is a student at Our Lady of Grace Senior High School. He lives in Mamponteng, in the Ashanti Region's Kwabre East Municipality.

At just 16 years old, he is part of a team competing in this global robotics competition.

Three years ago, Samuel gained national recognition by winning the Literacy Challenge. He was a Junior High School student at D&D Academy at that time.

Reflecting on his journey, Samuel credits the Literacy Challenge for igniting his passion for technology.

He said, “Preparing for the challenge involved researching robotics and AI.”

He added, “I learned many skills that I use now.”

Samuel views the Literacy Challenge as an experience rather than just a competition.
