2024 WASSCE: WAEC assures results will be released by December 31

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) spokesperson, John Kapi, has confirmed that the 2024 WASSCE results are expected to be released by December 31, 2024, provided all goes as planned.

This assurance follows a crucial payment of 35 million cedis made by the Ministry of Education on December 25, 2024, bringing the total payment to WAEC to 60 million cedis.

Kapi explained in an interview with 3FM that the additional funds would help expedite the process, ensuring results are ready in time for university admissions.

He also highlighted that WAEC is still awaiting the remaining 58 million cedis to cover debts owed to creditors and service providers.
