The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced a delay in the scanning of objective cards for the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
The scanning process, initially scheduled for November 1–30, 2024, has been delayed due to a malfunction in the scanners used for this task.
WAEC is currently awaiting additional funds from the Ministry of Education (MOE), which is part of an outstanding GHC118 million, needed to repair the scanners and resume the post-examination process.
WAEC assured its examination officials and suppliers that payments would be made once the funds are received.
The public was also urged to disregard rumors on social media about result release dates, as the results will be released once the issues are resolved.
