2025 Unity Cup: Black Stars hold first training session ahead of Nigeria clash

The Black Stars began their training in London for the 2025 Unity Cup.

They opened camp on Sunday. Some foreign-based players joined the home-based team. This group left Accra on Friday night.

Sixteen players participated in the first training session. They were later joined by Abdul Aziz Issah from Barcelona.

Players who trained included Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Benjamin Asare, and Joseph Tetteh Anang. Others were Gideon Mensah, Razak Simpson, and Mamudu Kamaradini. Caleb Yirenkyi, Abdul Salis Samed, Abu Francis, Majeed Ashimeru, and Lawrence Agyekum also trained. Christopher Baah Bonsu, Jordan Ayew, Stephan Ambrosius, Brandon-Thomas Asante, and Kwame Opoku completed the list.

Ghana will face Nigeria on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. The match will take place at GTech Community Stadium in Brentford.

The winner of this match will advance to the final. They will play against either Jamaica or Trinidad and Tobago on Saturday, May 31, 2025.
