Ghana's head coach, Otto Addo, has a message for fans. He wants them to prepare for a tough battle against Nigeria. This match is the opening game of the 2025 Unity Cup.
The Black Stars will play the Super Eagles on Thursday evening. They aim to secure a spot in the final of this four-nation tournament.
This will be their second meeting in two years. In March 2024, Nigeria won 2-1 when Addo was reappointed as coach.
Addo expects a fierce contest on Thursday. He said, "As always, it's a tough battle."
He added that there are always intense matches between these countries. "Even though it's a friendly, it's not really a friendly," he noted.
Addo expressed excitement about playing Nigeria and said they would do their best.
The winner of this match will face Jamaica in the final on Saturday, May 31. Jamaica advanced after defeating Trinidad and Tobago 3-2.
