2025 budget addresses the demands of Ghanaians - Finance Minister

The Minister for Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, defended the 2025 Budget Statement. He called it a people-centered policy document. It aims to meet the needs of Ghanaians.

Dr. Forson stated that the government has taken steps to address economic challenges. He emphasized that the budget will improve citizens' welfare.

During the debate on March 25, he said the budget provides relief and creates jobs. It also aims to stimulate economic growth. "This budget is not just figures on paper," he noted.

He highlighted key interventions in infrastructure and social welfare. Economic empowerment initiatives are also part of the plan. The government has started measures to stabilize the economy.

"The problems of this country did not arise overnight," he said. However, they are beginning to resolve them systematically and sustainably.

Dr. Forson urged Parliament and the public to support these efforts. National development requires collective commitment from everyone involved.

He reiterated the administration's dedication to transparency and accountability. "This budget reflects our determination to put people first," he stated. The goal is successful execution for all Ghanaians' benefit.
