24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme

The 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme (24H+) is Ghana’s main economic transformation plan.

It aims to create a self-reliant, industrial, and export-driven economy. This includes integrated value chains, efficient markets, and a competitive workforce. The goal is to enhance regional and global trade for inclusive growth. It seeks decent jobs, reduced import dependence, and greater national resilience.

President John Dramani Mahama describes 24H+ as both a destination and a programme. As a destination, it envisions continuous productivity in Ghana's economy. As a programme, it provides a framework to restructure the economy through various sectors.

These sectors include agro-processing, digital innovation, infrastructure, logistics, skills development, and export competitiveness.

The 24H+ programme focuses on mobilizing citizens and partners for transformation. It believes that full national engagement will achieve the desired change. Both public and private sectors have clear roles in this effort.

Following President Mahama's directive, we are sharing the 24H+ Programme document widely. We want to engage citizens, investors, development partners, and friends of Ghana meaningfully.

We invite you to read the document and reflect on its vision. Your thoughts are important; the 24H+ Initiative belongs to all of us.
