3 Suspects arrested in connection with robbery and murder of Momo Vendors

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested three suspects. They are linked to the robbery and murder of two mobile money vendors.

The first incident happened on February 13, 2025. Patricia Nimako was killed around noon in Krofrom. She also lost a sum of money during the attack.

The second incident occurred on March 10, 2025. Gideon Owusu Sarpong, known as ‘Junior’, was robbed and murdered at home in Kwadaso.

DCOP Emmanuel Teye-Cudjoe shared details at a media briefing. The suspects are Charles Kwame Danso, 23, Philip Fordjour, 29, and Samuel Addae Mensah, 42.

They were arrested on March 21, 2025, in Pankrono and Atimatim. The suspects are currently in police custody and will face justice soon.

Police are also searching for a fourth suspect named Martin Amoah. He is also known as Augustine Amoah or “Baba Macho.” Authorities believe he is hiding in Accra or nearby areas like Kumasi and Dunkwa-on-Offin.
