A new survey by Global InfoAnalytics shows strong support for Dr. George Akuffo Dampare. Nearly three in four voters rated his performance very high during the 2024 elections.
The results indicate broad public approval of his leadership in election security. However, only one in five voters opposed his dismissal from office.
This suggests many Ghanaians recognized his competence, but some were indifferent or supported his removal.
Mussa Dankwah, Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, shared these insights on Facebook. He noted that nearly 3 in 4 voters rated Dr. Dampare highly, but only 1 in 5 opposed his sacking.
The survey has sparked discussions about the reasons for Dampare’s removal despite his professionalism. Some analysts believe political factors may have influenced this decision. Others argue it highlights broader issues with leadership transitions in key state institutions.
