$370m 5th tranche ECF expected in June - IMF

Ghana is set to receive $370 million from the IMF. This is part of its Extended Credit Facility (ECF) program. The funds will be released by the end of June, pending approval from the IMF Executive Board.

Once approved, this disbursement will total $2.242 billion for Ghana under the ECF.

This follows Ghana's successful completion of the fourth review of the program. A Staff Level Agreement was also signed with the IMF.

An IMF team, led by Mr. Stéphane Roudet, met in Accra recently. They held discussions from April 2 to April 15, 2025. Their focus was on Ghana’s policy and reform priorities during this review period.
