Dr. Abed Lamangin Bandim is the MP for Bunkpurugu in the North East Region. He highlighted a $3 billion investment in the ICT sector from the 2025 budget. This investment aims to empower Ghanaian youth and boost economic growth.
He emphasized that training one million coders will create sustainable jobs. This initiative will help position Ghana as a leader in the digital economy.
During a parliamentary debate on Thursday, Dr. Bandim stated, “Mr Speaker, we are not just preaching digitalisation.” He added that every Ghanaian youth should be involved in this process. The investment will train young people in ICT from all constituencies.
Additionally, he mentioned a $50 million allocation for FINTECH development. This funding will support local businesses and SMEs in using technology to grow.
