4 arrested for stealing Agenda 111 building materials at Awutu Bereku

Four individuals have been arrested for allegedly stealing building materials intended for the Agenda 111 Hospital project at Awutu Bereku in the Central Region.

The Ghana Police Service, with assistance from the local community, intercepted a Man Diesel truck (GT 8715-Z) loaded with the stolen materials on December 10, 2024.

One of the suspects, Kwabena Ayamba, was reportedly contracted by the project’s contractor to transport the materials from the site to Tema.

The suspects are currently in custody, aiding investigations.

Authorities are pursuing the contractor believed to have orchestrated the theft to ensure justice is served.

This incident adds to ongoing post-election disturbances, with 110 individuals arrested so far in connection with various offences.
