4 police officers promoted for high standard of professionalism

Ghana Police Service Promotes Four Officers

The Ghana Police Service has promoted four officers. This recognition is for their exceptional diligence and professionalism.

The promoted officers are:
- G/Sgt. Fetus Gameli Kukuia, now Inspector
- G/Cpl. Christian Asare, now Sergeant
- G/Cpl. Nicholas Kingsley Amoah, now Sergeant
- G/Const. Adam Yakubu, now Lance Corporal

These promotions followed a significant arrest on April 30, 2025. The officers played a key role in solving a murder case that shocked the nation.

Just one day after five people were killed at Asiyaw near Nsawam, the officers acted quickly. They intercepted three suspects at Bawdie Barrier near Wassa Akropong. The suspects were traveling on a bus and had illegal firearms.

The suspects were found with a submachine gun and twenty-one rounds of ammunition. During interrogation, they revealed that Samuel Atsu Forson provided the weapon. Forson is already in custody for his connection to the Asiyaw murders.

Further investigations confirmed the suspects' involvement in the killings. Their swift actions prevented them from escaping justice and provided critical leads for the investigation.

Inspector-General of Police Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno praised the officers for their exemplary conduct. He stated that their promotion shows the Ghana Police Service values excellence in law enforcement.

“This sends a clear message that hard work will be recognized,” said the IGP. He emphasized that they will continue to reward officers who excel in their duties.

The Ghana Police Service remains committed to high standards of professionalism in fighting crime. They encourage all officers to emulate these promoted colleagues’ conduct.
