50 teams ready for 2025 GSTEP Challenge final pitching stage

Fifty teams have been selected for the final pitching stage. The exhibition and awards ceremony are approaching quickly.

These teams come from junior high schools in three regions. There are 15 teams from Greater Accra, 15 from Eastern, and 20 from Ashanti.

The finalists will refine their ideas and develop prototypes. They will pitch these projects to advance to the awards ceremony. This experience offers valuable real-world skills.

An induction event prepared the teams for this next phase. It provided critical knowledge and skills to shape their projects.

Berthy Buah is the STMIE Coordinator at Ghana Education Service. She congratulated the finalists from Greater Accra Region on their achievements. She encouraged them to continue working on their projects.

"Congratulations to all finalist teams for reaching this stage," she said. "The skills you gain will prepare you for future careers."

Mrs. Buah urged participants to make the most of mentorship and funding opportunities. She emphasized that this is a rare chance to turn ideas into reality.

She also praised teachers and mentors for their support throughout the journey. Their dedication has helped students reach this important stage.

Francis Ahene-Affoh spoke on behalf of the sponsors at the event. He expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Education and Ghana Education Service for their ongoing support.

Mr. Ahene-Affoh called on private STEM organizations to contribute funding. He wants them to help elevate this competition further.

"We appreciate all support from education authorities," he stated. "We hope business partners will assist in nurturing young talent."

The GSTEP consortium is excited about supporting young innovators in developing their ideas. They are providing STEM materials for all teams as they prepare for success.

The final stage leads up to Pitching, Judging, Exhibition, and Awards Ceremony events. Teams will showcase their projects to industry leaders and the public.

All participating teams have innovative project ideas focused on problem-solving. They are dedicated to creating top prototypes and winning prizes.

As finalists embark on this journey, they will think creatively and collaborate effectively with STEM education principles.
