56 ministers are resetting the country peacefully after just 130 days – Franklin Cudjoe defends Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama's ministerial appointments are attracting public interest.

In just five months since returning to power, he has appointed 56 ministers. This is close to the 60-minister limit he promised during his campaign.

Some members of the main opposition party criticize this move. However, Franklin Cudjoe, President of IMANI Africa, defends the appointments. He sees them as a positive step for rebuilding the country.

Cudjoe shared his thoughts on Facebook regarding the political tension. He noted that Mahama promised to reduce ministers from 120 to 60. Yet, in five months, he has appointed 56.

He mentioned that an opposition executive called Mahama indecisive. Cudjoe pointed out that the previous government’s 120 ministers harmed the country significantly.

He believes that having 56 ministers is a peaceful reset after just 130 days. Cudjoe questioned what was happening with his friends in the opposition party and wished them good night.

His comments suggest that the opposition's criticism may be politically motivated. By comparing Mahama’s current 56 ministers to the past administration's 120, he argues for a more disciplined approach now.
