A road accident at Adansi Dompoase has resulted in six deaths. This was confirmed by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
The GNFS received a distress call at 12:43 pm. They quickly sent a rescue team to the scene.
The team, led by ADOII Samuel Mensah, found two vehicles involved. A VIP bus (registration GW 8455-23) and a Benz Sprinter (registration GS 6383-20) collided.
The Sprinter was severely damaged from the rear. The VIP bus had partial damage to its front.
Rescue operations were completed by 1:28 pm. The six deceased victims were handed over to the Police.
One injured person was taken to Fomena Government Hospital for treatment. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
