Kennedy Agyapong, former MP for Assin Central, has called for unity in the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He urged members to forgive each other and work together. This plea comes as the party prepares for the 2028 general elections.
Agyapong spoke during the Thank You Tour on April 29. He emphasized the importance of reconciliation and used biblical references to support his message. He said, “Forgive those who have offended you and ask for forgiveness.”
He believes that unity will help convince others to join their campaign. Agyapong quoted scripture, stating that a divided kingdom cannot stand. He referenced Mark 3:25 and Matthew 12:22, highlighting the need for forgiveness.
His comments come amid concerns about internal divisions within the party. However, NPP communication team member Eric Twum dismissed these claims. He stated that the Thank You Tour led by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has not caused any division.
