‘Fake’ Doctor: National Security must conduct checks on Mahama’s appointees – Miracles Aboagye

Dennis Miracles Aboagye, former Communications Manager for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's campaign, has made a statement. He believes National Security should check Mahama's appointees.

Aboagye spoke during a panel discussion on Asempa FM. He said the president might be misled about appointments. He urged National Security and the NIB to conduct background checks on all presidential appointees.

He explained that sometimes names on appointment lists change before announcements. The president often does not have time to review these lists again. Some appointees may not have been directly approved by the president.

Aboagye emphasized that many people hold fake credentials. He suggested that National Security focus on these issues to support the president.

His comments followed the revocation of Anne Sansa Daly’s appointment to the NHIA board by President John Mahama. Reports indicated her medical credentials were fake, leading to this decision.

The Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, confirmed this in a letter dated May 23, 2025. However, the Ministry of Health denied reports that Daly was sworn in as an NHIA member.

According to a ministry spokesperson, Tony Goodman, Daly was not sworn in during the ceremony on May 27, 2025. The ministry called previous reports misleading and clarified the facts surrounding her appointment.

In summary, Aboagye calls for thorough checks on appointees to prevent issues like those seen with Daly’s case.
