A Muslim cannot be president in Ghana - Ken Agyapong

Kennedy Agyapong, a hopeful for the New Patriotic Party's flagbearer, has made serious claims against Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

At a meeting in Kumasi with legal professionals, he sought their support for his bid. Agyapong argued that the NPP should not keep Bawumia as a candidate. He claimed the party lost the election due to Bawumia's Islamic faith.

Agyapong stated that many Christian leaders campaigned against Bawumia. He said these leaders did not want a Muslim president and urged their followers not to vote for him.

He warned that if Bawumia remains a candidate, the issue will continue.

After the meeting, several attendees rejected Agyapong's claims as "baseless and divisive." They pointed out that data does not support his religious arguments against Bawumia.
