“A Plus is a member of the Majority Caucus in Parliament”: Mahama Ayariga says

A Plus Is Still a Member of the Majority Caucus, Says Mahama Ayariga

The MP for Gomoa Central, Kwame Asare Obeng, is known as A Plus. He has been in a feud with Dr. Dominic Ayine recently. Reports suggested that A Plus was removed from the Majority Caucus WhatsApp group. However, Mahama Ayariga denied these claims.

Mahama Ayariga is the Majority Leader in Parliament. He stated that A Plus remains a full member of the caucus. He confirmed that A Plus is still on the official WhatsApp platform for members. No decision has been made to remove him.

Ayariga urged the public to disregard false reports about A Plus. He emphasized that the leadership of the Majority Caucus is united and focused on their responsibilities.

The feud between A Plus and Dr. Ayine escalated when A Plus accused him of receiving campaign funds from a private firm’s CEO. Dr. Ayine responded to these accusations, prompting further conflict between them.

A Plus later deleted his social media post and apologized for his comments.

Reactions to Mahama Ayariga's statement varied among Ghanaians online. Some expressed support for removing A Plus from his position, while others defended him as an important member of the NDC party.

Franklin Cudjoe, founder of IMANI Africa, commented on the feud as well. He expressed concern over illegal funding in Ghana's politics and highlighted issues raised by both parties involved in the dispute.
