A/R: Govt to terminate some road contracts – Osei-Mensah

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah, announced that the government will terminate certain road contracts in the Ashanti region due to delays.

The government is committed to completing major roads connecting farming communities to Kumasi and other regions. The poor road network in Asante Akim South Municipality has negatively impacted residents.

Delayed road projects between Komeaboye and Kokoben (12 km) and Obogu to Kumeso (8 km) will be reassigned to new contractors. These routes are vital as they connect the municipality to the Eastern region.

The minister's announcement followed his inspection of several road construction projects in the area.
