A/R: Scores injured in multi-vehicle crash at Krofrom after downpour

Many people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash at Krofrom. This happened in the Kumasi metropolis after heavy rain on Friday afternoon.

The accident involved a cargo truck that lost control. It was descending from the Krofrom traffic light towards Ashtown. Near the X5 Pub, the truck crashed into several vehicles.

Eyewitnesses reported that the driver lost control of the steering. The truck then plowed into oncoming traffic, trapping drivers and passengers inside their cars.

Bystanders and good Samaritans quickly helped rescue those trapped in the wreckage. Several injured individuals were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

As of Friday evening, the exact number of casualties is unclear. Police have launched an investigation into the incident. They urge road users to be cautious, especially during wet conditions.
