A/R: Six-year-old girl found dead in parked car

A six-year-old girl named Hidaya Mahmoud was found dead. Her body was in a parked vehicle at a mechanic shop in Suame, Ashanti Region. This discovery happened on May 7, 2025, three days after she went missing.

Hidaya disappeared while with her mother at Suame Market on May 4. Despite the family's efforts and police involvement, they could not find her. Local media also helped spread the word about her disappearance.

Her father, Mahmoud Aboubakar, shared how they learned of her death. He was at home when his wife asked for money for school supplies. Later, she called him to say Hidaya was missing.

They searched the town but could not find her. They reported her missing to the police that same day. The police told them to return after 24 hours.

The next morning, they brought Hidaya's picture to the police station. Then someone informed them that a girl had been found dead in a car.

Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of her death. Hidaya has since been buried according to Islamic customs.
