A/R: Three arrested for robbery and murder of momo vendors

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested three suspects. They are connected to the robbery and murder of two mobile money vendors.

The suspects are Charles Kwame Danso (23), Phillip Fordjour (29), and Samuel Addae Mensah (42). They were apprehended on March 21, 2025, in Pankrono and Atimatim.

These arrests follow two separate incidents. On February 13, 2025, Patricia Nimako was robbed and murdered in Krofrom. On March 10, 2025, Gideon Owusu Sarong was robbed and killed in Kwadaso.

During a press briefing, DCOP Emmanuel Teye-Cudjoe confirmed the suspects are in custody. He stated they are awaiting prosecution.

A fourth suspect, Martin Amoah (alias Augustine Amoah/Baba Macho), is still at large. Authorities believe he may be hiding in Kumasi or Accra.

DCOP Teye-Cudjoe urged the public to share any information about Amoah. He assured that the police are committed to serving justice.
