A chameleon in disguise – Blakk Rasta blasts Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo

Ghanaian reggae artist and media personality Blakk Rasta has criticized Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo. He questioned her integrity and suitability for the role.

On his show on 3FM, he expressed strong disapproval. His comments came after a petition seeking her removal from office.

Blakk Rasta accused the Chief Justice of partisanship. He believes she has failed to uphold the values expected of her position.

“Why is Gertrude Torkornoo still in office? She shows no respect for patriotism. I support women in high positions, but not corrupt ones,” he stated.

He recalled being excited when she was appointed. He emphasized his support for women in leadership roles.

“When she was appointed, I applauded her. I love seeing women rise in a country that often overlooks them,” he said.

However, Blakk Rasta expressed disappointment with her conduct since then. He feels she has abandoned the expectations placed on her.

He criticized her public display of faith at the start of her tenure. “She thanked God for her position and seemed dedicated to Ghana,” he noted.

“But soon, her true colors began to show,” he added.
