AG drops charges against Collins Dauda, others in Saglemi Housing case

The Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine, has withdrawn all charges against former Works and Housing Minister Collins Dauda and four others in the Saglemi Housing Project case.

A nolle prosequi notice filed at the High Court (Financial Division 1) in Accra on February 7 confirmed that the state would no longer pursue the prosecution.

The case, initiated under the Akufo-Addo administration, accused the defendants of financial loss in the $200 million Saglemi Housing Project.

The withdrawal formally ends the legal proceedings against Dauda, former Minister Kweku Agyeman-Mensah, ex-Chief Director Alhaji Ziblim Yakubu, and Ridge Management Solutions CEO Nouvi Tetteh Angelo.

The late Andrew Clocanas was also previously implicated.
