AG’s reaction to Ato Forson’s acquittal and discharge fuels perception of personal vendetta – Prof Appiagyei-Atua

Prof. Kwadwo Appiagyei-Atua, an Associate Professor at the University of Ghana Law School, has criticized Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame's response to the Court of Appeal's decision to quash the ambulance procurement trial against Minority Leader Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson and businessman Richard Jakpa.

The Court dismissed the case, which involved allegations of causing a €2.37 million financial loss in a deal to purchase 200 ambulances, concluding that there was no case to answer.

Prof. Appiagyei-Atua suggested that Dame's harsh reaction, labeling the ruling as "perverse" and "grossly unfair," seemed to reinforce perceptions of a personal vendetta against Dr. Forson.
