ASFC 2025: Ghana girls set up semis clash with South Africa

Ghana's U-15 girls' team aims to continue their success in the 2025 CAF African Schools Football Championship (ASFC). They have reached the semifinals.

The Black Damsels performed well in the group stage. They earned nine points from three matches against Morocco, Benin, and Malawi.

Ghana won their opening match against Morocco. They followed this with 2-0 and 3-0 victories over Benin and Malawi.

With six goals in total, Ghana topped Group A. Morocco finished second with six points after recovering from their loss.

Head coach Joyce Boatey-Agyei believes their performance sends a strong message. "This is a morale booster for our players," she said after the last game.

She added that they must handle Ghanaians' hopes with care. Their top finish means they will face defending champions South Africa next.

South Africa finished second in Group B behind Uganda. In the other semifinal, Uganda will play last year's runners-up, Morocco.

The semifinal matches are set to start at 14:00 GMT.
