Ghana Introduces New Visa Policy to Attract Tourists and Investors

The Ghanaian government has launched a new visa policy. Applications will now be processed within five working days. This is a significant reduction from the previous four to six-week timeframe.

Minister for Foreign Affairs Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa announced the policy. He stated that it takes immediate effect. The goal is to make Ghana a top destination for tourism, business, and investment in Africa.

Ablakwa mentioned that measures are in place at diplomatic missions. These measures aim to cut down visa processing times significantly. Systems have already been deployed worldwide for efficient implementation.

He emphasized his commitment to making Ghana attractive for investors and tourists. However, he clarified that the new timeline does not guarantee automatic approval. A decision will be made within five working days regarding visa eligibility.
