Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, MP for North Tongu, has launched a GH¢100,000 emergency rent fund to help victims of the Akosombo dam spillage find temporary accommodation.
Over 12,000 people were affected by the disaster, with many still living in tents.
Ablakwa emphasized that his priority for the next term is the full resettlement and compensation of all victims.
His immediate focus is on providing rent support, especially for nursing mothers, as part of a larger effort to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis caused by the dam spillage.
