Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, held a bilateral meeting with the UN Resident Coordinator, H.E. Charles Abani, on March 3, 2025, at the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
The discussions focused on strengthening Ghana-UN relations and reviewing ongoing UN projects in the country.
Mr. Abani highlighted key initiatives in migration, security, and education, emphasizing the UN’s commitment to Ghana’s development.
Minister Ablakwa commended the UN’s efforts, particularly in supporting governance, economic growth, environmental sustainability, and climate resilience.
He also expressed gratitude for the UN’s support during the 2024 Volta Region floods, acknowledging Mr. Abani’s personal contributions.
Pledging continued collaboration, he reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to working closely with the UN to drive national development goals forward.
