The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is facing internal conflict. Bono Regional Chairman Kwame Baffoe, known as Abronye DC, criticized presidential hopeful Kennedy Agyapong.
Abronye spoke on Wontumi TV, as reported by MyNewsGh. He accused Agyapong of using his wealth to silence dissent within the party.
“Ken Agyapong thinks he’s above everyone because of his money,” Abronye said. He added that Agyapong often reminds others of his financial contributions.
Abronye claimed this attitude is arrogant and harmful to party unity. “This sense of entitlement creates division,” he stated. “We cannot let one man’s money overshadow loyal members’ efforts.”
To counter Agyapong's influence, Abronye plans to form a new grassroots association. This group will be established in every constituency. It aims to support NPP MPs who value inclusivity and respect.
“We will not back those who humiliate others due to their wealth,” he declared. “Our focus is on leaders who recognize all contributions matter.”
Agyapong has not yet responded to these accusations. However, his camp recently emphasized peace and discipline. They called for unity, warning that infighting benefits their political opponents.
