Academia exempt from post-retirement contract directive …Education Minister clarifies

Minister of Education, Mr. Haruna Iddrisu, clarified this point.

He noted that tertiary education is specialized and unique.

Therefore, human resource needs will be determined by individual councils.

The government made a significant decision regarding post-retirement contracts in public service.

For public servants aged 60 and older, the government will not grant post-retirement contracts.
