Hassan Tampuli, the MP for Gushegu, has a request. He wants the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) to allow Ken Ofori-Atta to have a virtual session. This request comes amid ongoing investigations into Mr. Ofori-Atta.
The OSP recently announced plans for an INTERPOL red notice against him. This decision follows Mr. Ofori-Atta's failure to attend multiple questioning invitations. The Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, shared this information at a press conference on June 2 in Accra.
On Channel One TV's The Point of View, Tampuli emphasized digital engagement. He believes the OSP should use technology for communication with Ofori-Atta. “There are other options available for him,” he stated.
Mr. Ofori-Atta has cited medical issues as his reason for not attending. However, the OSP claims he has not provided any medical report to support this absence. They view this as an act of bad faith on his part.
