Accra Academy identifies student in cutlass flogging incident

Accra Academy has identified the student involved in a disturbing incident where a colleague was flogged with a cutlass.

The incident, which occurred two weeks ago, gained attention only after a video of the assault went viral on social media.

The school’s management issued a statement confirming that the parents of the students involved have been contacted, with some providing statements.

In response to the incident, the school has handed over the student who carried out the flogging to the Ghana Police Service for further investigation.

Additionally, all the day students involved have been instructed to stay away from school as the investigation continues.
