Alhaji Ibrahim-Tanko Amidu is the Executive Director of STAR-Ghana Foundation. He spoke about storytelling, active citizenship, and inclusive leadership. He believes these are essential tools for today’s complex world.
He shared his insights at a public lecture in Accra. The event was hosted by the Institute of Work, Employment and Society (IWES). It took place at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA). The theme was: ‘Lessons from Experience: A Civil Society Leader’s Journey in a Changing World.’
The lecture aimed to inspire multiple generations. It focused on the real-life journey of a leading civil society voice in Ghana.
Alhaji Amidu discussed the communication gap between generations. He emphasized that effective leadership needs relatable stories and shared experiences. “Storytelling shapes how we view ourselves,” he said. He added that storytelling must evolve to remain relevant.
