The Ada Traditional Council in the Greater Accra Region has expressed concern over recent media reports about salt mining operations by Electrochem Ghana Limited.
The council argued that the reports were inaccurate and aimed at undermining the company's efforts to develop the Ada Songhor Lagoon for sustainable salt mining, which the council sees as crucial for the region's socio-economic growth.
The council criticized "one-sided journalism" and warned against actions that could divide the community.
It also addressed internal issues, including the restriction of Queenmother Naana Korlekie Korle from official duties, and condemned violence within the area.
The council urged peaceful conflict resolution and reaffirmed its commitment to the development and unity of Ada.
