Thomas Kwame Okrah, the Acting District Chief Executive (DCE) of Adansi North, fled his office on February 5, 2025, as angry Assembly Members stormed the premises in protest.

The members accused Okrah of disrespecting them, misusing Assembly resources—including DRIP machines—for personal gain, and tampering with the list of representatives for the upcoming Council of State election.

Anticipating the confrontation, Okrah left before police restored order.

Despite the calm, the Assembly Members have petitioned traditional leaders and regional authorities, demanding his immediate transfer.

Presiding Member Dominic Odame Kusi claimed Okrah altered the names of selected representatives without consultation and allegedly misused Assembly equipment.

Okrah declined to comment on the accusations when contacted by Citi News.
