Samuel Atta Akyea is the lawyer for Kwabena Adu-Boahen. He claims that Adu-Boahen's remand contradicts comments from Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine.
Dr. Ayine stated there is enough evidence to convict Adu-Boahen. The former head of the National Signals Bureau was remanded on May 2, 2025. An Accra High Court ordered him into custody for seven days.
The Attorney General requested this remand due to concerns about witness tampering. However, Atta Akyea argues there is no solid evidence for this claim.
In an interview with Citi News, he expressed his concerns. He said the Attorney General should find better ways to handle the situation. He worries that public propaganda could misinterpret their actions and intentions.
Adu-Boahen has been remanded for seven days as the case continues.
