Adu Boahene’s wealth could have bought him another citizenship – Ayine

Attorney-General Dr. Dominic Ayine has raised concerns about Kwabena Adu Boahene. He is the former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau. Dr. Ayine suggested that Adu Boahene may have acquired another citizenship due to his wealth.

Investigations show that Adu Boahene holds two service passports. The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) is also looking into claims he has a foreign passport.

Dr. Ayine stated, “The massive wealth he has accumulated suggests he may have purchased another citizenship.” He added that EOCO has his wife’s British passport in their possession.

Adu Boahene was arrested by EOCO officials on Thursday, March 20, 2025. He arrived in Ghana from London Heathrow around 8:30 PM on a British Airways flight before being taken into custody.
