Businessman and philanthropist Emmanuel Aboagye, known as Aboagye Contractor, has donated GH₵500,000 to Ashanti Regional Minister Dr. Frank Amoakohene to support traders affected by the devastating fire at Kumasi’s Adum Railway Market.

The fire, which struck on March 21, destroyed businesses and left traders struggling to recover.

While presenting the funds, Aboagye urged the business community to step up and assist those affected.

The minister, in response, assured that the government would provide additional support.

However, concerns linger over when the funds will directly reach the victims, as authorities await Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s return before initiating reconstruction plans.

The donation has sparked discussions on transparency in relief distribution and the pace of recovery efforts.
