The Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has made a donation. He gave GH₵100,000 and 500 bags of cement. This support is for traders affected by a recent fire. The fire occurred at the Adum Bluelight Market in Kumasi.
The donation was made on Thursday, April 10. It aims to help victims recover and rebuild their stalls. The fire destroyed an entire section of the market on March 21, 2025.
During his visit, Dr. Adutwum expressed sympathy for the traders. He urged them to remain hopeful despite their setback. He assured them of his continued support.
Dr. Adutwum encouraged the traders to stay strong for their families. He said, “God will come through for all those who lost their livelihood.”
He added that they should keep being strong for their children. “They will make you proud in the future,” he said.
“I cannot come here empty-handed,” he stated. “I’m supporting you with GH₵100,000 and 500 bags of cement.”
