Adwoa Safo denies taking GH₵120,000 from former Chief of Staff

Former Dome-Kwabenya MP Sarah Adwoa Safo has dismissed allegations that she received GH₵120,000 from ex-Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Osei Opare.

The claim, made by former Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong in 2022, suggested the money was meant to persuade her to return to Ghana for the passage of the E-Levy.

Speaking on Asempa FM, Adwoa Safo refuted the accusations, insisting her family’s wealth made such assistance unnecessary.

She emphasized that if she needed financial support, her father would have provided it, not the party.

She also clarified that she has no dollar account at Fidelity Bank, contrary to Agyapong’s claim.
