Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, a founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has criticized its leadership. He believes the current executives should resign. He cites their failure to reorganize the party after the 2024 elections.
He defended Adwoa Safo’s recent comments. He stated, “The party was founded on democracy and freedom of speech.” He added that every member can express their views freely. “Adwoa Safo did nothing wrong,” he said.
Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe strongly criticized the party's leaders. He claimed they have failed and lack moral authority to lead. “If I were them, I would have resigned by now,” he stated in an interview with Joy Prime.
He emphasized the need for leaders who care about the party. “We don’t want those who joined for personal gain,” he asserted.
He questioned the legitimacy of a committee investigating the election loss. He argued that its members are part of the problem. “The current executives shouldn’t form any committee,” he said, noting they were elected through bribery.
Regarding Adwoa Safo's appearance before a disciplinary committee, he dismissed its authority. “She can ignore them or meet them if she wishes,” he remarked. However, he would not attend if it were him.
Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe believes NPP needs a complete overhaul to move forward. “Leadership must step aside,” he insisted. He called for an interim management committee to realign the party.
“Until we return to grassroots and find true supporters, we cannot win future elections,” he warned.
