Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has lauded the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, for his exceptional service to Ghana.
Speaking during the vetting of Interior Minister-designate Mohammed Muntaka on January 24, Afenyo-Markin highlighted Dr Dampare’s leadership and contributions to national security.
While acknowledging that there are differing views on the IGP’s style, he emphasized that his achievements far outweigh the criticisms.
Afenyo-Markin praised Dr Dampare’s youthful energy and proactive approach, asserting that his leadership is vital for the country’s progress.
He urged Ghanaians and policymakers to appreciate the IGP’s impact and continue supporting him to strengthen the police service and maintain national stability.
